Fort Meade City Commission

Government Style: The City of Fort Meade has a commission-manager form of government. The Commission consists of five Commission seats. Commissioners are elected for four-year terms, with elections held in odd-numbered years. Commission terms begin in January of the year following the election. It is the responsibility of the City Commission to ensure the City fulfills its lawful duties. This is accomplished by adopting ordinances and resolutions to direct the City's affairs, including budgetary responsibilities, handling City business, and making recommendations to improve the community.
